The excellent quality of the Halsvik granite / gneiss, is ideal for use as a high-grade aggregate in ready-mixed concrete and asphalt for the construction industry. It is also suitable for use as railway ballast, sub-base, river protection works and offshore pipeline engineering.

Technically brilliant
Test results show that the stone is very hard, has good wear resistance and a specific gravity of approximately 2.7grams per cubic centimeter for solid rock. Another important characteristic of the rock is that after crushing the shape is mostly cubic.
