We have been awarded 24th place in the Sunday Times Best Green Companies 2010 listing for its pioneering approach to environmental practices throughout the business.
The list, which ranks Britain’s top green companies, recognises businesses and organisations which have strived to improve their environmental performance. Uniquely, the Best Green Companies survey takes account of the views of employees - who get to rate their organisation’s green credentials - as well as assessing the environmental performance, policies and practices of businesses.
The Sunday Times worked with the leading environmental consultancy firm Bureau Veritas and the data analysts Munro Global, to develop measures of environmental performance that would encompass a wide range of organisations of different sizes, activities and environmental impact. This was incorporated into a two part assessment to test the credentials of the leading companies.
Alastair McCall, Editor of The Sunday Times Green List said "Only those organisations demonstarting the highest environmental standards, with workforces wholly engaged with their green initiatives, have made it onto the list."
