October 2010
Bardon Aggregates picked up two awards at the prestigious black tie event to showcase Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) member’s excellence and capabilities to supply the new infrastructure build, new nuclear power plants and nuclear decommissioning programme in Cumbria.
The awards for Business Innovation Award, sponsored by Kier Construction Ltd and Community Engagement, sponsored by Low Level Waste Repository Ltd (LLWR), highlight the commitment of Aggregate Industries to its clients and communities in which it operates.
The award's organisers reported the evening as a great success in demonstrating what businesses on the Energy Coast have to offer in Cumbria and beyond, with their combination of can-do attitude and innovative thinking, and many with the experience of working on one of the country’s largest and most complex nuclear sites.
