I joined the Company in 2002 initially as an Information Systems Analyst and worked my way up to Team Leader and then my current role as Information Systems Manager.
From my first day at Aggregate Industries it was apparent how much emphasis the Company places on getting the best from their employees through structured training. A formal induction helped me to settle quickly into my new role and from there I worked closely with my line manager to map out a training and development programme which has been balanced between developing my soft skills alongside technical training to keep me updated with ever changing IT technologies.
My role is varied and challenging, and never mundane. What I enjoy most is knowing that the information me and my team provide empowers other colleagues to make informed decisions that have a direct impact on the business, whether that is driving process improvements through key performance indicators or increasing revenue through our suite of commercial reports.
Aggregate Industries is an employer that I would recommend to my family and friends. Although we are part of a large global corporation, I still have the sense that I am working for a local family run Company that cares about its employees and the local community.
