To create new apartments constructed within the old Arsenal Football Ground. The apartment price range £350-£600K with penthouses at £1.2M. The existing listed building façade needed to be supported by £3M of site steelwork during construction
Project was originally envisaged as an insitu concrete option but manufacturing in precast saved customer 2 months on site.
Precast continuity columns were manufactured with projecting reinforcement and coupler bars specifically designed to take different floor loads at each level.
The lengthy design period and extensive changes meant that production had to remain flexible throughout.
Supplied 2,410 columns and beams with 444 different unit supplied. Total weight supplied was 3,075 tonnes in 300 deliveries.
Each individual column referenced to a specific location on site making unit identification and call off critical to the project
