Brief

This residential home is one of the largest editions to Ideal Care Homes' extensive building plan. The project is an in-house design and build contract with Ideal Care Homes being part of the larger LNT Group. Their design and construction arm, LNT Construction Ltd managed the project from the design stage right through to client hand-over.

The project at Beaumont Leys, Leicester is on the former site of the Beaumont Leys Inn. It is a three-storey building with a total internal floor area of 2550m2, partly heated by underfloor heating.

Solution

Highflow S is the ideal product for this type of situation as it's a very fluid material which will completely encase the underfloor heating, providing excellent heat transfer properties.

With a surface finish tolerance to BS8204 - Part 1 SR2, 5mm of 3m when laid correctly, Highflow S allows the continuous supply of material without compromising on quality.

With outputs up to 10 times greater than that of conventional screed, Highflow S was laid quickly and efficiently by the flooring contractors, resulting in an high impact resistant surface without jointing areas.
