Brief

Most of the buildings in Bath are built with indigenous Bath Stone, an oolitic limestone used since the Roman times and most significantly within the city during the 18th and 19th Centuries.

Natural Bath Stone is both expensive and a challenging material to use.

Radnor Homes needed a product that was both cost-effective and aesthetically compatible with the Georgian architectural character of Bath.

Solution

Bradstone’s Cast Stone and Ashlar walling was specified for the development because of the product’s ability to blend well with the surrounding architecture.

Bradstone Cast Stone architectural dressings provide a comprehensive range of beautifully crafted components for the detailing of stone and brick built buildings, both traditional and modern. Bradstone has a wide range of stock items available in the Bathstone shade, as
well as the ability to provide made-to-order components in a variety of shades.

For this development, we needed walling which would be in keeping with the neighbouring buildings. Bradstone’s Ashlar and Cast Stone was a cost-effective solution for us.
