Cirencester - the “Capital of the Cotswolds”.

Steeped in history, Cirencester is home to a Roman amphitheatre and a villa, and was once the second largest Roman town outside London, named Corinium. Today, the town centre is home to the Corinium Museum, where visitors can trace the Cotswolds from prehistory through to the 19th century, with special emphasis on the town’s Roman heritage.

This brand new development located near this historic Roman town, set against a beautiful backdrop of rolling fields and the Cotswold hills offers homeowners an idyllic living experience. The stunning collection of Redrow Homes 3 bedroom terrace, semi-detached and townhouses, plus 4 and 5 bedroom detached homes is situated close to Cirencester town centre, putting an excellent range of shopping and leisure facilities on the doorstep.

The basic structure of these properties was completed using Masterblock Masterdenz blocks. These are a high strength, dense, robust, load bearing unit that can be used as an internal or external wall. The benefits of specifying this product include;

  • Available in a variety of sizes, strengths and finishes, offering total flexability
  • Available in hollow or solid formats
  • Can come as a standard or paintgrade finish
  • Quality assured manufacture

Furthermore, due to the strict guidelines provided for this project regarding the aesthetics of the product, and the requirement to maintain the look of the local environment, Bradstone Rough Dressed walling blocks were used to accentuate the high quality finish of the building.

As its name suggests, Bradstone Rough Dressed walling is strongly reminiscent of roughly dressed quarried stone, however due the alternative production methods, it is a product that is highly accepted in appropriate conservation areas. The sizes are compatible with conventional cavity wall construction with every block having a profiled end. Other product features include;

  • Unique walling design allows for a consistent mortar joint
  • Replicates roughly dressed natural stone
  • Available in a range of colours and shades

Bradstone Conservation roofing slates were used to finish the buildings.

The features of Conservation include;

  • Highly acceptable alternative to Natural Stone slates
  • Contains more than 50% non primary/secondary aggregate content
  • Supplied in a full range of diminishing lengths and widths for an authentic appearance
