Brief

Supermarket giant Tesco planned to demolish one of its stores in Lincoln to pave the way for a multi-million pound replacement. Tesco won planning permission for its scheme for its new Wragby Road premises in April, 2009, and the plan includes building a bigger store and moving the petrol station to a new location on the site. The company must show that fumes released by the filling station meet strict environmental targets, and that the building and landscaping demands are sustainable.

Solution

We offered the client a range of affordable yet visually pleasing hard landscaping solutions. Based on our portfolio and product samples provided alongside site inspections of previous Tesco developments, Tesco instructed Bowmer and Kirkland to proceed with ordering our material. The product chosen was from our Charcon commercial hard landscaping range, specifically Academy Textured in Grey and Andover Textured in Oak.

The product features of the Academy Textured are;

  • Added pigment for an attractive finish
  • Economical commercial paving solution
  • Utilises local aggregates to the manufacturing plant
  • Reduced carbon footprint
  • Hydraulically wet pressed

In addition the extra features of the Andover Textured eccentuated the completed look. Features include;

  • Exceptional durability
  • Stylish finish
  • Available in  flag and block paving options
