manage its operations through two separate Boards, one in the UK
and one in the US.

board by Benoît-H.Koch, a member of the executive committee of
Holcim Ltd. The other members of the UK Board will be: Bill
Bolsover, Group Chief Executive; John Bowater, Deputy Group Chief
Executive and Chief Financial Officer; and James Retallack, Group
Resources Director; together with five non-executive members: John
Carr, James Davis, Christopher Garnett, Don Reed and Angela
Yeoman.
The US board will be chaired by Bill Bolsover,
with the other members being: John Bowater, James Retallack, John
Carr and Don Reed. The Company is currently recruiting a
Chief Executive for its US business who, when appointed, will also
join the board.
Commenting on the changes, Peter Tom said:
“I’m delighted with the way that Aggregate Industries and Holcim
have come together over the last two years and especially with the
responsiveness and support we have received to enable our further
growth and development.
“I currently have interests in a number of
other projects and believe the time is now right for me to hand
over the Chairmanship to Benoît, who has been a board member since
the acquisition and who with Bill and the other members of the
board will oversee and direct the next phase of Aggregate
Industries' growth.
“Having been with the business since its
earliest days, I have a great affection for Aggregate Industries
and many fond memories. I will continue to stay in
touch with my colleagues at the company and wish everyone much
success in what I am sure will be an exciting future.”
Benoît-H.Koch, said: “We are immensely
grateful to Peter, not just for his many years of dedication to
Aggregate Industries, providing the foundations for the successful
business it is today, but also for his guidance and help during the
early stages of Holcim's acquisition of the Company. He has left a
fantastic legacy that we will continue to build on.”
