Aggregate Industries further strengthens Contracting
Division
Aggregate Industries has acquired the shares of Sitebatch
Limited and Roller Compacted Concrete Limited for an undisclosed
sum.
Both businesses function from bases in Bourne, Lincolnshire, and
their main activity relates to the mixing of cement-bound materials
and associated technology. Operations will continue to be conducted
remotely utilising their own mixing and paving plant throughout the
UK and Ireland.
The businesses, which together employ 20 people, will form a new
sub-division of Bardon Contracting, Aggregate Industries’ surfacing
and civil contracting operation. Sitebatch and Roller Compacted
Concrete will operate under their existing names.
Hugh Armitage, managing director of Bardon Contracting,
comments, “The acquisition of Sitebatch and Roller Compacted
Concrete complements our existing business and enables us to
further enhance our supply chain capability for customers."
