European Standards for Asphalt
From January 2008, harmonised European Standards were applied to the specification, testing and production of asphalt products.
What this meant was:
The purpose of the harmonisation was principally to eliminate barriers to trade within the European economy, including the UK.
Essentially asphalt products remain the same but the changes will affect the way in which we describe them and requirements for a more rigorous production control regime will give even greater confidence in asphalt product quality.
