Bradstone offered the most cost effective alternative product that resembled the natural stone of Bath

Key facts

Architect: Peter Jones and Associates
Sector: Private housing
Client: Crofton Place Developments
Contractor: Rosemead Homes
  • Alternative to natural product
  • Best value

Brief

The project was located on a brownfield site surrounded by an established residential development. The demand for residential accommodation in the Georgian World Heritage City of Bath is extremely high and it is essential that the products used in any development are sympathetic to their surroundings.

Solution

The developer required the product used on the properties to have the look of local Bath Stone. Bradstone’s Rebastone Rustic walling and cast stone architectural dressings met the visual and economic criteria set by the client. Rebastone Rustic face walling resembles fine grained free stone walling blocks with dressed edges and worn faces.
