Bradstone Fusion garden wins Silver Gilt at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The Chris Beardshaw Mentoring Scholarship (CBMS) team have been unveiled their new cutting edge landscaping products in their stunning Urban Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May! The “Bradstone Fusion Garden” is a collaboration by 2010 CBMS Scholar, Maria Luisa Medina, Chris Beardshaw and Bradstone.

The design aims to challenge people’s preconceptions of concrete as a landscaping material by highlighting its sheer flexibility, creativity and sculptural qualities.  As a key focal point in the design the team has also created their first ever bespoke artwork for a garden.  The unique sculpture has been devised in two stand alone sections, which when viewed at a particular vantage point in the garden unite to form a single shape of a perfect heart. The show garden marks the grand finale to Maria Luisa’s scholarship year in which she has enjoyed mentoring by Chris, as well as receiving business advice and technical support from Bradstone.

It is rare for a design to be a truly collaborative affair between designers and technical experts but that’s exactly the route I have taken with Maria Luisa and the technical, product development team at Bradstone with this garden.
