Silica sand has been quarried in and around Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, for over 100 years by generations of the Garside family. Garside Sands operates today as a significant part of Aggregate Industries.
The rarity and limited geographical deposits of this type of silica sand result in it being in demand across the UK and all over the world for specialist applications ranging from sports pitches, water filtration, brick manufacture and specialist industrial applications.
Our experienced teams, based onsite at our quarries in Leighton Buzzard and Ardleigh, aim to provide the product information and 'family business style' service you require for your specific project - whatever the size.
Certification
We are certified to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 and BS EN ISO 4001. In addition, as part of Aggregate Industries and with sister company, Bardon Concrete, we are accredited as a responsible source, certified under BRE BES 6001 and therefore attract additional points in buildings submitted for BREEAM ratings.
We are also members of key trade organisations to help drive industry and quality standards and ensure best practice.
