Cement testingOur 18/25 sand is extremely tightly graded, has a silica content of over 99% and conforms to British Standard ‘BS4550 Part 6 1978: Standard Sand for Mortar Cubes’. The standard specifies that the silica sand should be white and sourced from Leighton Buzzard. This precisely graded sand is exported all over the world.
Fluidised bed boilersSpecialist dried sands are used as a heat transfer agent in fluidised bed boilers to achieve a constant temperature. The sands are supplied across a range of industries from food manufacture to paper processing. Refractory and ceramic processesOur specialist silica sands are used in kiln mortars and kiln bricks in the sand casting process.
