UK Executive Committee
The UK businesses are divided into three
operating divisions: UK Aggregate Products, Building Materials
and Cementitious Materials. Each of these divisions is headed by a
Chief Operating Officer who reports to the Group Chief
Executive.
The UK Executive Committee consists of the Group Chief
Executive, the Deputy CEO and Group CFO, the Group Resources
Director, the three Divisional COOs, the HR Director, Director for
Environment and Corporate Social Responsibility and Chief
Information Officer. The Group CEO reports to and is a member of
the Board.
Bill Bolsover 
Group Chief Executive Officer, Aggregate Industries
Limited
Bill Bolsover joined the Board of Aggregate
Industries in December 2000 as Managing Director of the UK
operations and took on the role of Group Chief Operating Officer
with responsibility for both the UK and US operations in July 2003.
He later became CEO of Aggregate Industries Limited in January
2006.
This followed a career with Tarmac which started in 1974 and
involved senior positions within all divisions of the company,
culminating in his appointment to the Board of Tarmac plc in July
1999.
Bill is a fellow of the Institute of Quarrying and a director of
the Quarry Products Association and is a Lieutenant Colonel in the
Engineer & Logistic Staff Corps RE (V).
John Bowater 
Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer, Aggregate
Industries Limited
John became Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer
in 2004.
A member of the UK Executive Committee, John also has
ultimate functional responsibility for accounting and finance,
treasury, taxation, internal audit, land and estates, geology,
environment and CSR and information technology for the Group.
Prior to joining Aggregate Industries, John was Executive Director
of the Industrial Minerals Division of Anglo American plc, and a
Director of Tarmac plc.
John is also a Governor of Thomas Telford City Technology College,
a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and
a Director of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.
James Retallack
Legal and Compliance Director, Aggregate Industries
Limited
James was appointed as Legal and Compliance
Director in January 2008, having previously held the position
of Group Resources Director since December 2001.
In addition to being a member of
the UK Executive Committee and, with the CEO and CFO, having
overall responsibility for the strategic management of the
Aggregate Industries Group, James has specific responsibility for
human resources, health and safety, legal services and compliance,
secretarial, insurance, pensions, and communications.
James is a solicitor who was formerly a
senior partner of Edge Ellison and, after that firms merger with
Hammond Suddards in 2000, was the senior partner of the Birmingham
office of Hammonds.

Nabil Bouris
Chief Operating Officer, Cementitious Materials
Division
Chief Executive Officer, Aggregate
Industries Management Inc.
Nabil became CEO for US business in January
2008, prior to this he was COO for the Cementitious Materials
Division and had functional responsibility for UK
Procurement.
Nabil started his career in cement bulk
handling and trading in 1980. He has worked in Kuwait, Iraq,
Algeria, Greece and Sweden before coming to the UK where he founded
Seament UK Ltd, a company which was sold to RMC group (now Cemex).
In 2001 Nabil founded Paragon Materials Ltd, in which Aggregate
Industries UK Ltd took a controlling stake before purchasing
outright.
Ralph Cunningham
Chief Operating Officer, Building Materials Division
Ralph joined Aggregate Industries in April
2006 taking operational responsibility for the US and UK pre-cast
and concrete products sold through the Building Materials Divisions
Domestic and Commercial Products business.
Prior to joining the company Ralph held
several senior operational and sales positions with B&Q.
Colin Jenkins
Chief Operating
Officer, UK
Aggregate Products Division
Prior to his appointment as COO for the UK Aggregate Products
Division in January 2008, Colin held a range of operational and
commercial management roles within various parts of Aggregate
Industries, becoming Managing Director of Bardon Aggregates in
2006.
Colin is responsible for delivering the
strategic aims of the Company’s UK and European aggregates
business. An essential part of his role is to continue to
develop the Company’s leading approach towards the environment, the
communities of which his operations are an integral part, and the
delivery of essential materials in a sustainable and responsible
manner.
Mike Gibbons
Chief Information Officer, Aggregate Industries
Limited
Mike became Chief Information Officer and a member of the
Executive Committee in January 2008. Prior to this appointment he
was Director for Group IT covering all aspects of information
technology across Aggregate Industries in the UK, northern Europe
and the US.
Mike started his career as a Mechanical Engineer with Lucas
Electrical before moving into IT - holding Senior Project
Management positions with Lucas and then Land Rover.
In 1991 Mike moved into IT Management with ECC Construction
Materials and became UK Head of IT with the formation of Aggregate
Industries in 1997.
Stephen Tagg
Human Resources Director, Aggregate Industries
Europe
A member of the Executive Committee since January 2008, Steve is
functionally responsible for all People issues in the business. An
essential element of Steve's role is to ensure the business
recruits and retains sufficient talented people to assist with our
strategy for organic growth, together with equipping our current
workforce with the skills to develop both professionally and
personally.
Prior to his appointment as HR Director Steve held a variety of
personnel and HR positions for AI and previously for the Bardon
Group. Prior to this he held a senior position in the coal
industry.
Miles Watkins
Director of Environmental and Corporate Social
Responsibility, Aggregate Industries Limited
Miles graduated from University of Hertfordshire in 1996 with a
degree in Environmental Studies and has since completed a PhD in
stakeholder management at the University of Bath. At Aggregate
Industries, Miles has held leading positions in sustainability
management and was appointed to the UK Executive Committee in
January 2008.
Miles takes an active role in the industry and chairs
various committees within the Quarry Products Association, the
British Pre-Cast Concrete Federation, the Institute of Quarrying
and the UK Green Building Council. Miles has been instrumental in
the establishment of the sustainability agenda within Aggregate
Industries which forms a vital part of the company's overall
strategy.
