Insulated floor block options

We can offer either the Beamshield or Tetris floor block insulation system. These are suspended flooring systems for domestic applications to ground floors where a better Thermal Value is required from the floor with minimal finishes. This system excludes garages due to the loadings required for a garage.

The system comprises pre-stressed concrete beams infilled with purpose designed high duty expanded polystyrene (EPS) panels which can be topped off with a power floated reinforced structural screed finish.

Benefits of Beamshield or Tetris floors

• Easy to handle, quick to install 
  Beams can be easily handled by forklifts or cranes. Smaller lengths can be manually handled, risk assessment permitting. Blocks are light and can be manhandled and rapidly installed.
• Good thermal insulation
  Insulation required by Building Regulations is easily achieved in the combination of insulated floor block and finishes.
• Simple all weather form of construction
  There is no need to worry about frost damage to floors.
• Draught proof, rot proof and fire resisting
  The durability of solid concrete, once the screed is applied.
• Eliminates back fill and site compaction
  Expensive backfill and compaction are not required. Subsequent ground heave problems are removed.
