As part of our ongoing research and development, we are constantly looking at new building methods and techniques. One of these areas is in off-site housing construction.
We have designed a fast-track panelised housing system, using a precast insulated sandwich panel for all external walls, party walls and roof areas. The main foundations, floors and stairs are also precast concrete and the design allows for easy utilisation of "room in the roof" where required.
All panels are factory manufactured, with a total weathertight envelope erected in less than a week for a typical semi-detached house.
The precast sandwich panel system exploits the benefits of concrete's thermal mass, having exposed concrete on its internal surfaces. It contains all the necessary conduits and services inside the panel and is factory finished ready for painting on site. Externally, the precast wall panels can be manufactured with any finish such as brick or render.
