As part of Yeoman Asphalt’s continuing support of the Levy Foundation, nine students who are undertaking motor vehicle training were treated to a day at the races in October 2009.
The Levy Foundation was set up by the parents of murdered teenager Robert Levy in 2004 to highlight the issues of knife crime. The foundation is supporting children who are raised in gang culture to work within the community and train for careers.
In 2007, Yeoman Asphalt donated two of their pick-up trucks to the motor vehicle training programme, a relationship which has continued since. This year, the students went to Brands Hatch with Aggregate Industries and not only learnt more about working in a race team, but about the Porsche Carrera watching Aggregate Industries sponsored Robert Lawson and the JHR team take second place in the championship.
