People with an immediate interest in our activities are invited to form a community liaison group. Typically members include neighbours, local government officers, environmental protection agency officers, local councillors and our site representatives.
The objectives of community liaison groups are to:
1. Facilitate open communication: a forum for discussion and exchange of information on topics related to the quarry or site and our neighbours.
2. Create a forum to raise issues: a structured communication link between operational managers, the community and other stakeholders.
3. Provide an opportunity to influence operation: assist in identifying and addressing local issues and concerns in relation to the operations at our quarries.
4. Provide an effective vehicle to communicate: to pass on important information regarding our quarries and other operations.
5. Identify opportunities to partner on community projects: builds relationships between us, the community and other stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
