About our Bodmin Small & Large Load Concrete Plant
The Bodmin ready mix concrete batching plant has been operational for five years, replacing the previous site which had been in service for an astounding 40 years.
Delivering to a 20 mile radius, including Bodmin and Lostwithel, the plant offers a range of ready mixed and specialist concrete suitable for a variety of applications. The site also offers the Aggregate Industries' Concrete Collect service, with an exceptionally speedy turnaround – in fact the team are proud to highlight that they offer the quickest collect turnaround in the area.
The Bodmin team has supplied to numerous local projects across the region over the 40 years the plant has had a presence in the area. Most recently the team have provided concrete to the new Council offices in Bodmin as well as the crucial water defence system in Lostwithel.
The plant has also worked alongside the St Austell plant to supply concrete to a new energy recovery centre in St Dennis. The Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre is a large scale project, which is set to play an important role in disposing of the 240,000 tonnes of non-recycled waste created in the Cornwall area each year. Crucially, as a combined heat and power facility, the centre will also generate enough electricity to power 21,000 homes.
