Aggregate Industries has signed its support to the updated Concrete Industry Sustainable Construction Strategy - and the plans are more ambitious than ever.
Hosted by Karen Bradley, MP for Staffordshire Moorlands, a parliamentary reception to launch the 2012 strategy provided a credible and transparent debate on sustainability.
The updated strategy takes into account the ever increasing emphasis placed on sustainability within the UK’s construction industry – placing the use of concrete firmly at the forefront as a sustainable building material.
The strategic objectives and commitments of the Concrete Industry Sustainable Construction Strategy can be viewed on the sustainable concrete website.
The original Concrete Industry Sustainable Construction Strategy was launched in 2008 as a commitment to a range of measures with the goal of improving sustainability performance and supporting the delivery of a sustainable built environment.
