Construction demolition materials (CDM)

building a better future with sustainable solutions

We only have one planet but are living like we have two. A global circular economy can enable us to fulfil people's needs while reducing the materials we extract and use—ensuring our world’s global prosperity happens within our planet’s boundaries. Circularity is at the core of everything we do, as part of our net-zero journey.

We provide high-quality construction and demolition materials (CDM) that support efficient building, infrastructure, and landscaping projects while helping to reduce environmental impact. Our range of reclaimed and recycled aggregates is designed to meet the needs of various industries by repurposing debris from construction and demolition sites, which not only preserves natural resources but also provides a cost-effective, reliable solution for a variety of applications.

Drives Circular Construction

Repurposing CDM reduces the demand for virgin aggregates, conserves natural resources, and decreases the environmental impact of mining and material processing. This sustainable approach also diverts waste from landfills, supporting waste reduction and promoting a circular economy.

Durability and Strength

Processed construction and demolition materials are designed to meet specific standards, ensuring they perform reliably in demanding applications. With proper sorting, cleaning, and crushing, these recycled aggregates offer strength and durability comparable to new materials, making them suitable for heavy-load applications.

Conforms Industry Standards

High-quality recycled CDM aggregates conform to industry standards and specifications, ensuring they’re safe and effective for use in construction projects. Many recycled materials meet the requirements of British and European standards, making them suitable for both public infrastructure and private projects.

CONSTRUCTION DEMOLITION MATERIALS (CDM) IN ACTION

Why CONSTRUCTION DEMOLITION MATERIALS?

Choosing CDM for your project offers a range of benefits, from environmental sustainability and cost savings to versatility and durability.
One of the most compelling reasons to choose CDM is their positive impact on the environment. By recycling and repurposing materials from demolished buildings and construction sites, you help reduce the demand for virgin resources, minimise landfill waste, and extend the existing product life cycle through further processing. This sustainable approach aligns with eco-friendly construction practices and promotes a circular economy, where materials are reused rather than discarded.

At Aggregate Industries, we focus on providing sustainable, high-quality construction demolition materials that meet industry standards while minimising environmental impact. Each product is carefully sorted, processed, and quality-checked to ensure it meets the specific needs of your project, whether for large-scale infrastructure or smaller landscaping tasks. Our team works with you to source materials that match your requirements and contribute to a more sustainable construction environment.

By choosing recycled construction demolition materials, you’re not only optimising your project’s costs but also supporting sustainable practices that benefit the environment. Build more with less!

Applications
  1. Road and Pavement Base Layers: Their high compaction and load-bearing capabilities make them a reliable choice for heavy-traffic applications.
  2. Foundation Fill: CDM provides a stable base for structures like buildings, retaining walls, and bridges, offering similar strength to traditional materials.
  3. Drainage Solutions: Recycled aggregates are ideal for drainage projects because they allow water flow and prevent waterlogging.
  4. Backfill for Construction: Recycled materials are effective for backfilling around foundations, pipelines, and other structures.
  5. Soil Stabilisation and Erosion Control: Recycled CDM helps strengthen the soil structure and prevents landslides in areas prone to erosion.
  6. Temporary Roads and Construction Access: Crushed concrete and asphalt are excellent for creating temporary roads and access points on construction sites.

products

The core of the business is the circular economy and the supply of construction demolition waste. We believe in producing a high-quality, recycled product using our bespoke wash plants, therefore extending the lifecycle of what would traditionally have been a waste product.

Our offering includes:

  • MOT type 1
  • Sand
  • Topsoil
  • Blended ballast (NR approved)
  • Ballast (NR approved)

We offer national coverage with our product moved around the country via our fleet of road and rail wagons and shipped from our UK state of the art recycling hubs.

logistics

Logistics are at the heart of our waste management and materials supply businesses. Our dedicated and highly experienced traffic team manages our own dedicated fleet, we work to the highest standards, regarding planning, management and in the cab, and hold Gold accreditation under FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) approval.
We have an extensive fleet of 8-wheeled tippers and articulated wagons, along with a large fleet of low loaders, tipping bodies, high sided trailers, self-loading grab lorries, tipping trailers, rigid tippers, flat backs, artics and concrete mixers. We believe in continuously updating our fleet therefore reducing maintenance and down time on wagons which in turn see’s us with one of the most modern fleets in the UK market.

Earthworks & Muck-away

Where we differ from the rest is that we have a cradle to grave approach. From cutting, filling, and moving of large quantities of soil or rock to prepare a site for construction, to muck away focused on waste removal (soil, clay, demolition waste, or other materials that cannot be reused on-site), transportation and disposal or recycling and reuse of unwanted materials.
As part of our full turnkey capabilities, we have a wide experience in the civil engineering and earthworks sectors. Over the years this has seen the business build an extensive fleet of excavators, dumpers, rollers, and various other pieces of civil equipment.
