Pine lodges enhanced by the highest quality roofing slate

The Project

A development of eleven pine lodges crafted to the highest standards and inspired by Scandinavian living.

The Background

Nestled into the landscape of the Yorkshire Dales, Long Ashes Park provides residents with outstanding views from their modern, stylish pine lodges. As well as using Bradstone Old Quarried roofing slates, Ted Fletcher used local limestone to further blend the lodges into the landscape.

The individually designed luxury lodges feature Scandinavian inspired horizontal stained larch clad exteriors. Including 3 bedrooms (5 units) and 4 bedrooms (6 units) with accommodation over two floors. This coupled with floor to ceiling windows maximised the superb views over the Wharfedale Valley and Yorkshire Dales.

The Brief

Built to the highest quality specification, the development had to be in keeping with the local surroundings.

the Solution

Incorporating Bradstone Old Quarried roofing slates subtly added to the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding area.

This high quality range of reconstructed stone preserves the fundamental characteristics of the original natural stone slates from which they are cast. Reduced erection and timber costs along with the abundant availability of Old Quarried roofing makes this a superior substitute for the continual decline of natural products.

Old Quarried is uniquely produced in Lichen Green, allowing the 11 pine lodges to integrate into the heritage and conservation site of the Yorkshire Dales while the natural beauty of the surroundings is fully maintained.
