Yeoman Glensanda wins international prize award for trade

Aggregate Industries was again a winner in the prestigious Sustain Magazine awards held at the Great Hall Banqueting Suite of Chelsea Football Club on Tuesday this week. Yeoman Glensanda was awarded The International Prize, Award for Trade, in recognition of its role in supplying aggregate to northern Europe and the UK.

Competition for the award was fierce, but the judging panel acknowledged the export and sustainability achievements at Glensanda by commenting:

“In finding a unique response to a unique situation, this Aggregate Industries group company operates Scotland’s only coastal quarry, shipping all material by sea and taking literally millions of lorry movements off Europe's road network”

Timed to coincide with Ecobuild, guests at the awards included architects, housing developers, engineers, consultants, housing associations and manufacturers, all of them industry leaders, and eager to blaze the trail for sustainability.
