Bardon Emerald®
The Bardon Emerald range has been developed to offer our customers bespoke solutions that take advantage of regionally available sustainable materials. The locally sourced replacement materials may include secondry, recycled and reprocessed aggregates in addition to Portland Cement (CEM 1) substitutes such as Pulverised Fly Ash (PFA) and Ground Granulated Blastfurnace Slag (GGBS).

Each product in the Bardon Emerald range is made to order ensuring compliance with contract performance specification whilst reducing its impact on the environment.

Bardon Emerald ready-mixed concrete uses secondary aggregate to replace part of the total aggregate, typically 55%, but this may be up to 100% dependent on the application and which taken together with the use of up to 40% PFA as a cement enhancer can provide an overall reduction in CO2 emissions in substantially in excess of 70kg/m3 without compromising durability.
