The Exeter ready mixed concrete plant has had a notable presence in the area for an impressive 60 years. Over time, the team has developed a strong customer base across Devon, delivering to builders and contractors of all sizes. The plant can be found a few hundred yards behind Bishops Court Retail Park, conveniently located half a mile from Junction 30 of the M5.
Supplying to a variety of construction projects across the region, the Exeter team has been involved with prominent schemes such as the Cranbrook village development. Work began in 2011 to build the new community, which is set to include 2,900 homes, two secondary schools, two primary schools, and two park areas. The site will also include a railway station and bus terminal to support commuters that live in the village.
Cranbrook has been designed as self-sufficient, low carbon new community in close proximity to employment opportunities, encouraging people to use sustainable modes of transport and to reduce the need for them to travel between work and home by car.
The plant also supported repair works at the Dawlish rail line when winter storms severely damaged one of the slipways adjacent to the train tracks.
