John is Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Executive. He became a member of the Board in July 2004.

As a member of the Board, John has ultimate functional responsibility for accounting and finance, treasury, taxation, risk and assurance for the company.

Prior to joining Aggregate Industries, John was Executive Director of the Industrial Minerals Division of Anglo American plc, and a Director of Tarmac plc. John is also a Governor of Thomas Telford City Technology College, a Governor of Walsall Academy, a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a Director of Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club.

Dragan Maksimovic - Chief Executive Officer

With more than 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Dragan is Chief Executive Officer, having been in the role since June 2021.

Boasting a wealth of experience in the construction materials industry, Simon is responsible for our Concrete Products Division and marketing function.

Steve Curley - Managing Director, Cement

Steve is responsible for the Cement Division, having previously been the Commercial Director of Cement. Steve joined the company in 1999.

Andy Swinnerton - Managing Director, Aggregates

Andy joined the business in 2016 and is now responsible for the Aggregates Division. Prior to this, he was Director Business Excellence.

Kirstin McCarthy - Sustainability Director

Bringing more than 20 years’ experience in environmental management to the role, Kirstin is responsible for accelerating the company’s journey to net-zero and driving improvements across all aspects of sustainability.

James Roberts - Human Resources Director

With more than 20 years’ international experience in HR leadership, James is the Human Resources Director for Aggregate Industries having joined in November 2016.

Phillip Norah - General Counsel

Phillip joined Aggregate Industries in May 2018 and is responsible for the legal and compliance aspects of the company.

With nearly 20 years of experience working internationally in senior Supply Chain positions, Edern is in charge of Procurement, Logistics and the Regional Customer centers
