The upgraded version boasts an improved tonnage calculator enabling customers to determine the volume of asphalt required prior to arrival on-site.
This is supported by improvements to the app’s in-built GPS service, which now not only helps customers to locate the nearest local depot to pick up materials quickly and efficiently, but also allows them rate any one of Aggregate Industries’ 36 asphalt sites nationwide.
In addition to a sleek new appearance, users will not only find the new app clearer, easier to navigate, and more user-friendly, they will also have the opportunity to provide instant feedback.
What’s more, the app gives users access to news and information via a live Twitter feed, designed to help customers get up-to-the-minute reports on the latest developments in asphalt.
This latest release comes just months after Aggregate Industries launched its Express Collect app, a ‘click and collect’
service enabling customers to order asphalt, or tools and equipment, and pick it up from any one of the business’ Express Asphalt depots.
The Express Asphalt service includes a dedicated customer service team and a guaranteed order turnaround of under 30 minutes for single loads of standard products. Both apps are now available to download now from the App Store or Play Store for IOS and Android.
Duncan Reaney, General Manager of Express Asphalt at Aggregate Industries UK, said:
“The new and improved Express Asphalt app is part of our commitment to revolutionising the asphalt specification process by digitising our offering and providing a ‘one stop shop’ for all things asphalt.
“We know that when on a job, time is of the essence and having key information at your fingertips can help ease pressure and make more informed decisions - that’s why we’ve added a host of new features. This includes helping our valued customers keep abreast of latest industry developments via our case studies section as well as a live Twitter news feed.
“By making it simpler and quicker to choose, order and pick up our products, we hope to play an important role in streamlining operations and improving efficiencies for time-stretched trade sectors.”
