Durable and stylish paving added to Project Heart, Hertfordshire
Charcon adds finishing touches to supermarket giant’s central office hub.
The Background
Charcon Hard Landscaping, a division of Aggregate Industries, has supported the development of a new central hub for a popular supermarket chain at its campus in Hertfordshire. The exciting new central hub features event space, testing kitchens, offices, a gym and a new customer experience centre. The central atrium space acts as the building’s focal point, giving staff the opportunity to host events, showcase products and promote new initiatives.
The Solution
To enhance the building’s surroundings, 261m² of Andover Textured concrete block pavers and 5,300 units of Andover Textured paving were specified for the hard landscaping around the new staff hub. This exceptionally durable yet stylish paving incorporates uniquely formulated Cornish aggregates to provide enhanced performance and aesthetics, perfect for high volume pedestrian areas.
To contrast the sleek modern finish of the Andover Textured paving, Charcon also supplied 117m² of Woburn Rumbled paving, which features a traditional rumbled finish and rounded edges, creating an attractive timeworn and weathered appearance.
