garside 8/16 sand

Garside 8/16 sand is a dried silica sand to the requirement of BS EN 12904 which can be used for filters and water filtration. The Grading of the garside 8/16 has particle size ranging from 1mm to 2mm in size meaning it is ideal as a coarse sand media for water filtration in Swimming pool filters and water filtration. It is also suitable for aquariums, natural ponds and potable water filters.
The Garside 8/16 can also be used for brick manufacture as both a facing and filler sand. The 8/16 sand is specially prepared sand made from silica sand. It is sprinkled on the inner surface of the mold cavity to give a better surface finish to the castings.
