Strong customer relationships resulting in new product shade developments to meet the clients high standards.

West Bromwich, a town famous for its football team, required a development that aimed to transform the face of the town centre which would include a public square, sculptures and greenery as well as new paving, seating, bins, lighting and trees. The project would also join up areas around the town centre including the new £200m Tesco development, Providence Place office block, Sandwell College and Dartmouth Park.
The plans included improving the pedestrianised High Street at Duchess Parade and Princess Parade, concentrating on entrances at New Street and Bull Street and the crossing between Kings Square and Queens Square.

A strong relationship was built between Aggregate Industries and Sandwell Borough Council, leading to a made to order shade of Charcon Vianova paving being developed specifically for this project. Charcon Vianova is a ground concrete block paving, perfect for modern landscapes due to it's contemporary feel and sparkling finish. The three shades available in the range, Light Grey, Dark Grey and Anthracite Charcoal, were not suitable for this project so Aggregate Industries produced a shade called Mid Grey specifically to fit the clients requirements.
Alongside the Charcon Vianova, Aggregate Industries also provided Charcon Appalachian Ground in Black Fleck finish. A more traditional paving option utilising advanced manufacturing techniques, Charcon Appalachian provides both exceptional durability alongside affordability. Uniquely formulated granite aggregates provide optimum performance alongside the environmental benefit of containing up to 75% recycled or reclaimed material.
UK sourced Natural Yorkstone was a third product used on site. With it's unique aesthetic qualities ensuring an exceptional finish, long lasting reliability and a naturally slip-resistant surface, this product is a proven performer throughout the UK.
The final product supplied by Aggregate Industries to fit the Sandwell Borough Council specification was Charcon Portuguese Granite setts. Like the Natural Yorkstone, Portuguese Granite boasts excellent skid and slip resistant properties, even when wet, which makes the product ideal for pedestrian and trafficked areas.
